Namaste Prospective Indo-American Voter,
Voting in presidential elections is one of the most significant responsibilities as a US citizen and for our states. It is our chance to elect leaders who can protect our rights and take the country forward based on principles of founding fathers. It is your chance to select leaders whom you think can raise your voice in various policy matters and foreign affairs. Key election dates:
- The United States Presidential election is on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
- Deadline to register online to vote and vote by mail is around Monday, October 19, 2020 (differs per state).
- All registered voters will be mailed a vote-by-mail ballot.
- You can also register (this might be different for some states) and vote on Election Day
- Many states allow early or absentee voting and voting period differs for states
- Please be aware of changes to absentee voting due to the coronavirus.
- Each state makes its own voting and election rules.
- Check with your state for the latest changes for the 2020 elections.

Remember, even though Indian Americans are less than 1% of overall population polulation, Indo American votes are significant enough to make a difference in the Swing state and, thus, the outcome of the election. Especially in swing states it even matters most. Indian American vote matters.
